Do the buses stop running, supermarkets close, tradesmen stay at home ? Don't think so.

I hate getting soaked unloading / loading during rain, but someone is paying me to carry out a service, so I get on with it.

Only ever cancelled in deep snow, no job is worth writing the van off for.

Got to Job this morning after confirming via Phone.

Arrived and lightening was overhead and it was throwing it down, roads floaded and I judged it was not safe to clean. Customer agreeded and re booked for next week. Everybody happy, not sure if she would have been happy if her floor got wet because I had to leave her front door open.

First day I have had to blow out due to weather but safety and common sence must come first.

Robbie, how many trades people work when the weather is really bad, Builders stop as soon as it looks like raining. The trains stop and so do the roads.

Talking of weather, do we still have a hose pipe ban in the South East or can I now go and water my garden? ::)

Mark,
Re: How do TM operators get on with the van doors open? Answer: everything gets wet, but thats the way things are with a TM, the hoses get wet and dirty, the van interior gets wet, and the operator gets wet stting up and setting down. You just get used to it.
