Neil,

Mine did the same thing today, I took it apart and found that the "O" ring had split and jammed the mechanism.

you normally find you can unscrew the valve and release it, it may be the spring is a bit worn and needs replacing?

Most suppliers do a replacment kit,but 9 out of 10 times its just the rubber o ring that needs replacing. Also every now and again its worth lubing it with vasaline ( the o ring that is) ;)

Paul beat me to it, Basically it needs a relacement seal kit, and when installing it put some sort of grease on it, which wont degrade the o rings. If you want to just change the O rings get Viton ones, they are Higher temp rated.

Any body know the actual o ring size for the plunger in the K valve of normal twin jet wand.
I have looked on Altec site

http://www.altecweb.com/home.asp?cat=Subcategory8320

But I am confused at which size to get.
I bought the red box with hundreds of them in a few months back but the smallest size is still too big.

Anybody managed to work this size chart out please let me know.
