my tdi meter reads 13 before i touch the water how do you reset it or do i need a new one

You need calibration fluid, but if not at hand get some pure water where you know the value to be 0, dip the probes into this and check the tds value, there is a calibration screw in the tds unit this needs adjusting until your unit has the same tds vaue as the fluid being testing. Easy!

I am guessing it is an inline meter. I would have a handheld as a spare always
