So do,

Im, going to spend half as much next time, when the rep comes around he/she going to wish they had never bothered.

My add. this year has been the worse yet (and that takes some doing), every year I say that's it, well this time I mean it.

The most over priced, over rated book on the planet! >:(

Thought dots (and a lot of them) before name was the biz. ;)

Phil

Try 666 works for me numeric is always first. ;D

Every £1 spent generates £24 worth of work, so the radio advert goes. ;D ;D ;D

Not init anymore, did not have time to see rep, :'( should I lower my prices or increase it due to fuel costs?

neil tell them you changed your name to A1 clean touch,

dont ask them, tell them.

they got to list you under your co. name, tell them lies that you changed your co. name.

Cheers Craig,

I did as sale rep said last year and listed as .....1st Call A Clean Touch. Rep this year said that this has stopped, even sent me a letter stating that.

I will have to wait until next year to change but am going to have a right go at them over this.

Any advise on how to approach them is much appreciated.

Cheers

Hi Guys,

My rep told me max number of a's is 6 so i now have a stutter ;D

In the interests of fairness all 1sts, a's etc should be ignored and the positions randomly generated, this would save all the manipulation of business names.

Cheers

Hi Doug,

Did as rep said last year but do not like the aaaaa or ....... myself so thought that i would listen to the rep and not do it because she said it was not happening.

Need to take some legal advice I think because everyone in their like maxcleaning.net has aaaaaa Max cleaning.

Cheers

Thomson Local have the farest way, the more you spend the closer to the front you get.

Okay I know it's Thompsons but it is honest I wonder if YP could do that they would sell bigger ads ?

Hi Justin

Sorry not a dig at you, I know its not you. Did they tell you to do this?

Just gives me an idea of a route to take with them if they told you to do this.

I hate them so much because they just lie and cheat to get you to go in the book. I know people go through the book but you still need to be near the front.

Hi Neil

Yes I was told by having aaaaa in small writing at the side of the advert would give me front page position, I was also assured of this because the last few times I have been on the back pages behind Service Master! So even with the aaaaa's and with alphabetical preference I still end up near the back! Sadly YP is like a Woman, cant live with em, cant live without em!

Cheers Justin

I thought as much, A much fair system would be first to sign up gets near the front and so on.

I trusted my sales rep to my cost and it has put me near the back. Problem with the back is you will get the customers that are price shopping rather than picking out 2 companies from the front and ringing them and getting them out to quote and going with the one that sells the best.

Wish I had stuck with the Thomson Local now

Hi All

Take it back about location, Getting loads of calls from advert, must be because I am next to 6 Chemdry adverts back on page 7.

Attracting lots of price shoppers but getting  quiet a lot of good ones as well.

Hope this continues 1 month out and 22 calls.

Hope it work for the others.
