Filling DI vessel
«
on:
July 29, 2006, 10:10:20 am »
Just about to fill my new vessel for the first time. Is there a special way of doing it or do I just pour it in? Does it need compacting or anything?
Thanks
David

I find ladeling it in through a funnel helps you not too lose or waste any. they reccomend filling it to about 6 inches from the top if you use a 18 inch vessel

Wear some eye protection as well, when you are filling it they may be a small
risk of some getting in your eye. Have had this happen to me so I always wear
a pair of shades.
For skooping out the resin from the bag use an empty plastic bottle, cut it down
to size. Sheet of A4 paper I use as a funnel, works well with me.

I allways wash my vessel out first, then let it dry to make sure its clean and no old resin is left in .

I cut the bottom off a plastic milk container and use it as a funnel.

A cut down road cone makes the best funnel. Dai
