Brass monkeys
« on: April 24, 2024, 12:57:00 pm »
Can't remember ever working this late in April and feeling so cold. I've got full winter gear on but that wind just cuts through you. We really haven't had much in the way of extremes this winter here in the east but it feels like it's dragged on soooo long. Must be even worse for those working on the coast. Bring on the summer, and quickly.

Mrs S reckons it's warmer than last year.

I don't think she believes it either.

That’s Scotland - at the mo you’ve often got the best weather!

Here in Essex, usually good weather, we’ve had cold biting wind from the north and very cold mornings.

It’s been relentless.

Western Scotland has been pretty good last few weeks apparently…

Its a bit nippy, still got my coat on. But better than being red hot that will be the next thing to moan about along with hayfever.

Only 5 degrees most of the day - horrid chilly wind on top.   Brrrrrrr.....

I'm sure I would normally be out in a T-Shirt  by now

Took my driving test around this time in 1986 - it was snowing...in Devon!

It's just the rain this year. Pretty much every day, for three months.

Was lovely today though.

I remember it snowing in May (27 years ago) with gale force winds and hail on an ill fated trip to Torquay...

I reckon we will get another heatwave this summer (for a few months hopefully!)

I'm ready to get the ninja outdoor grill out!😎👍

This weather is strange because in the shade its quite chilly but when the sun🌞 comes out it's strong!

That’s not strange Daz, the sun is a strong in April as it is in August.

It’s the northerly wind that’s making it feel so chilly.

If we get the south westerly’s back, it’ll feel much warmer.

my birthday falls on the 18th May and as a child I remember it snowing on my birthday, I can't remember exactly how old I was but I would say between 5-8
