This year was expensive for me, bought a new 650ltr tank and frame , an extra purefeedom electric hose reel , pole sections , filters for my 4040 , 10 brushes and just basically doubling up on everything . So iv basically got a whole new set up as a back up plus the normal consumables I usually buy

Easily I spend that a year without all the extra backup equipment .
Van lease (this alone is  £3.3k a year), van insurance, road tax, PB insurance, filters , fuel, uniform, poles, brushes , clothes , chemicals, mobile phone , electric bill for heating the van for maybe 4 weeks a year, hoses, etc it mounts up over the year

Tax year  2022/2023 around £30000 but that includes the purchase of a van. Usually around £8000-£10000.

How much of that would you attribute to having a hot water system instead of cold? I got the impression your round was quite local and "tight"? Mines no where near that. Of course the biggest expense in this job seems to surround the vehicle so could be that.

About right, 6-7k for me each year.

Doesn’t help that xtreme poles are now extremely expensive!

Diesel about a 2 grand a year

Water production Inc resin filters etc maybe another grand at most

Pole 1 a year maybe

Few odds an ends, couple of pairs of boots a year...

The rest of it just depends I pay about 6k a year just for my van finance, tax and insurance.

Then there's accountant fees, cleaner planner, Web hosting, phone, bank fees, insurances.

Maybe 10k for me but the van payment makes up more than half of that.

It's getting expensive just running a van now.
I've just done the brakes of my van for MOT. The parts alone were nearly £450 and I didn't replace the hand brake shoes. They didn't include labour, as I did it myself.

3 years ago, I bought 5 new Pirelli tyres. The cost was £80 per tyre, including balancing and casing recycling.
I need to replace 2. They are now £129.95 for the same make. The grip isn't that good on these Pirelli's. Continentals are £150 per tyre.

Where do to  in get your brakes from? I’ve just replace the discs and pads on mine and was no where near that much, had to replace a front calliper on the wife’s cmax and it was £35. Couldn’t believe it.
