I’m looking at disclok steering lock or pro lock

Now seen clutch claw looks good but wonder
If too much hard work putting on and off?

Basically it’s the balance of ease of use
Size weight and storage
Along with security

None of them are 100% uncrackable
Eg pro stop lock
Apparently theifs saw  either side of locking jaw on  steering wheel to get off


Disklok although one of the best is expensive
£150 and believe is heavy

Make sure you get the right size if you buy one. Takes a few minutes to put one on and can be fiddly but probably the best deterrent going.

I have dash cam front and back for both my car and van wired in, both with a spare battery solely for when it's parked up so it still records front and back  which is sent to the cloud 24/7 which helps reduce my insurance. One consolation is I can see what's going on around both vehicles from the app.

Do you think window cleaning vans are a target then?

I’ve got ring cameras round the house exterior, with one looking straight at the van and family car.

I don’t feel the need for anything else though, I really can’t see a window cleaning van being particularly high on a thief’s list…

Tool thieves target any van, van thieves are exactly the same.
All anyone can do is make it harder, so that they go elsewhere, they love an easy target.
I have a steering lock and cameras.

Had my transit custom nearly 10 years, never had a problem and never used any deterrent, I just don’t worry about that sort of thing.

If your van is heavily sign written like mine, I think a thief’s gotta be pretty desperate to go for it.

Sparky and builders vans much more desirable due to expensive tools.

Main reason is to deter van getting broken into

I had a top of the range dashcam front and back  with spare battery for parked up mode and connected permanently to the cloud and app for phone and hardwired in with alarm separate, cost £1100 for my Xkr

I only ever get broken into in London. Work all over the country and not a problem but London…….worst thing is you get charged a toll for going there.
