True, but again the o/p would need to put the needs of his franchisee first. One of those needs would be enough work to satisfy the needs of his new recruit, which, again, would leave him with very little work for himself. Yes, there is an initial franchise fee, but most of that would be taken up with equipment purchases. The o/p would need to seek more business and do nearly all the first cleans. So he isn't going to be well out of pocket to begin with. The monthly % he takes off each job completed in the future can only be classed as the cream and not the cake itself.
One of the local lads has a franchise business here. He works hard himself on the tools as well as then taking care of all the other needs of his franchisees. I chat to him from time to time. It's not a position I would like to do as it's very stressful.
