For me theres light rain and moderate rain which i wont bat an eye lid
Heavy rain which i will work in but feel a bit daft whilst doing so
Then stormy, torrential, sideways rain thats just ridiculous to work in... i draw the line there

The latter is pretty rare thankfully

All we seem to have down here at the moment is the sideways, 40 mph heavy rain.
Walked the dog this afternoon and ended up dodging bits of tree in missile form!

I worked 830am-130pm again today with early lunch.all work completed.last 2 hours in the rain......

Sod having the week off just because of a bit of wind and rain!it's madness if you ask me....

But here's the thing Daz, nobody's asking you, it's YOU asking them!! Not sure if it's boredom, lack of confidence or insecurity but you often seem a little obsessed with convincing yourself that you're right?🤔😄

It's none of them....I just can't understand window cleaners who shy off just because of a bit of rain and wind then moan when they are miles behind!ironically it's usually the same window cleaners who cant afford a holiday or decent equipment....🙄

That’s funny, how do you know what people can afford or where they go on holiday? We aren’t all gloaters you know, 99% don’t discuss their earnings or expenditures on the internet.
Live within your means, don’t buy everything on tick and you find there’s no need to work in dreadful weather simples.

good job we are all different. I hate ugly high rise buildings in hot countries.    every day is like groundhog day.
I am off to a caravan in devon today until monday...... I will be visiting interesting places
and the highlight will be tomorrow when we go on a steam train from paignton to dartmouth.

Its not some peoples cup of tea ..... but it is MY cup of tea.
each to their own
oh ....And I do work in thee rain within reason

That is a brilliant heritage railway.

A couple of options.

Stop at Greenway Halt and go to Agatha Christies's house; maybe get the small passenger ferry across the Dart to the Ferryboat Inn.

Do the normal trip and get the ferry across from Dartmouth to Kingswear (might be included in the train ticket?)
It's a game of three halves!

Same

I love caravan holidays, prefer them to going abroad in a hotel any day.

Cant beat the sound of rain hitting the van in the middle of the night or waking up at the crack for a little walk through the site to get some bacon. Brilliant, kids always enjoy it more than going abroad as well.

We used to do the old £9.50 a night newspaper offers and have long weekends at Haven sites when the kids were little, like u say, kids loved it. It always brought the big kid out in me and I'd throw bread on top of someone else's caravan so the seagulls banged about on roof at dawn. I think it must have been a "thing" back then because someone was definitely doing it  to ours.  :)

Most people have a life Daz😁 Have kids, grandkids, wives, property and gardens to look after and maintain. These people will mostly value time above money and thus view these days as a blessing.  Get some more hobbies or take on some real world adult responsibilities outside your own wee bubble and you might, just might 'get it'!😄
Valuing time above money.
Spot on 👍.

I have plenty of time off but I can't do my mums garden when it's raining but I can clean windows no problem!😄

Do you charge your Mum £100 per hour or mates rates?
