I was tell ing my mrs about my thoughts of getting wfp in the not to distant future and showed her the pic's on here of systems some of you have built etc.

She asked me "what about winter useage, wouldn't you get water running down your hands/arms"
is this something you have to put up with or does it not happen?

Hi Denis,

Yes you do get wet and YES its cold, we wear neoprane gloves in the really cold days until about 10 when it gets a bit warmer.

Exactly the same here.

Good gloves are a must in our experience for the very cold days during winter. Like Trev we take them off as soon as it is warm enough.

PS.. one other bit of advice... do NOT smell your gloves just after you have taken them off when you have had them a while

They do stink dont they? Ever tried the ones that Omnipole sell? I havent but I am told they are much better than the others.. still stink though

At least using a WFP you can wear gloves I could never get on with wearing them when I worked trad they made my hands to bulky.

Boy is WCing gonna get easy, I can't wait till I've done all my first cleans.

Paul, easy it aint. Lots of learning curve for first 6 months-happy Christmas by the way.
It takes time, the gloves the sunny glasses the not falling off etc but its not easy at first, so keep your prices up.
Much later........I finally got myself to a situation where I am thoroughly enjoy what I am doing again, its taken 8 years of progression. V. Light poles, elec trolley etc. Hope it dont take everyone else 8 years. With the use of the forums you could soon have a degree in wfp in say 3 years.
Dont forget to smell the roses on the way
