Hi,

I use micro fibre but I think a well broken in scrim is just as good, if not better as an absorber & polishing cloth. As for a shammi they are ok before a polishing cloth. Tried Unger fluid I could not see what I had wetted as it is not very soapy.

unger fluid, i used a sample did not think much to it!

Microfibre by an absolute mile.

I've used scrims for 9 years or so.
Bought a couple of microfibres to try last month and I'm knocking 2 minutes off the average house.

One big house that used to take 1hr 20 I did in 1hr 5 mins.... :o

Dries edges instantly, more shine, and I've never had a smear.
Just one wipe and walk away and trust it. ;)

Even the inside of a smoky pub?.....doddle.

Rog.

I find one is fine all day.
It's not quite so effective by then though, as it picks up so much grease.
Still easier than scrim though. :)

I don't find it gets wet, but then I've only had them since we've had this weather.
It's constantly drying at the moment!

Just wait for a damp day Squeaky..  They get wet very quickly and wont wring out like the good old scrim does.

We used to use  them just for buffing off on leaded anbd georgian for which they are great. Hardly ever use then now coz we WFP any leaded or georgian coz its so much faster and better...  only my opinion.. down Squeaky.. down..  lol  :)

Honest mate you will be back to scrim for detailing as soon as it gets damp.  That is unless you want to use a seperate Micro on each house.
