water booster help needed!
« on: November 20, 2011, 08:34:02 pm »
Hi, can anybody advise me on fixtures and fittings for a clarke SPE1200SS water pump.  In machinemart the assitant was wondering how I would reduce the 1 1/2" bore hole down to standard hose pipe.  There is no thread on the hole and he said jubilee clips would just fall off with the pressure.  Loads of you use water boosters so I would really appreciate any advise on this subject.

bumped this to the top reflect because wondering if you have gone ahead and bought one of these ?
I have a machine mart at bottom of my road and considering buying one for my 4040 and is cheaper than the one I was previously looking at there.
What ro do you have and pressure ?
thanks
Simon

Sorry to ask again but the links don't work?

I have moved to a house with low pressure and have purchased water pump from Clarke CMB240E. Could anyone tell me what fittings I need.

Thank you so much

Thread is 10 years old. I have that booster pump though. Just reduce it down with barbs & jubilee clips.

you need a 1" to 1/2" bush available from screwfix  https://www.screwfix.com/p/bush-1-x/42740

then you need to 1/2"bsp to 12 mm barb, avalible from advanced fluid solutions https://www.advancedfluidsolutions.co.uk/12mm-12-hose-tail-x-12-bspt-male-straight-tefen-blue-nylon-fitting-3839-p.asp

use ptfe thread tape on the threads and and secure the 1/2" hose with pinch clips or jubilee

If you are looking to booster water pressure for your 300gpd r/o then this is not suitable.
