That's Kharma for you Mr. H.
« on: June 11, 2021, 08:59:53 pm »
Last July I took on Mr. H who had seen me working and asked to be put on the books. As always I set out my stall including the "no not todays" rule.

All goes well for the first clean and the second clean but come December I got a "not today" and upon enquiring why got told " they don't really need doing can you come back in a couple of weeks before Xmas?"

Long story short he got dumped.

Fast forward to today ...

I'm cleaning three doors down and have no signs on my van so the old chap didn't recognise me when he asked if I was interested in taking on his bungalow and how much I charged.

Me: "I charge the same price as I did when you turned me away before Xmas, Mr. H."
Mr H: (Embarrassed) "Oh. Errr .... um .... oh, it's you."
Me: "It is indeed me Mr. H."
Mr H: "Um ... oh, could you fit me in next week perhaps?"
Me: "I'm afraid not, I am very busy with my regular customers, sorry."
Mr H: "Oh, okay (then to his dog) come on, better go home."

I almost felt a twinge of guilt for the old fella, but it's so much nicer not having PITA customers on the books.
It's a game of three halves!

First thought it was about me!! by the title LOL.
But can relate to what you saying.
Few years ago an other WC rang asking if i wanted to do a job that he didn't want to do or it was a bit far to travel.
When they told me who and where it was.
It was actually a customer been doing past 5 years.
And suspected it was because there was E-Glass which this had, some of it was 6 metres high on the inside.
I said was not interested,
So that was that.
However few days later low and behold the customer rang  asking when can clean the windows.
My answer was just NO  then hung up.
