I'm looking to get a new pole in the next week or two, and it will in all likelihood be a Gardiners SLX 47. I'm wondering whether it is worth trying their twist action gooseneck flow control valve. Does anyone have any experience with it? Good or bad?
I usually use a  univalve, but I'm wondering whether it will work ok with a long run of pole hose, or whether there will be too much stretch in the hose.
Any helpful experiences appreciated.

The Univalve will likely be ok so long as you use PU pole hose.  But like you say the stretch issue becomes worse the longer the length of hose is that you have to pull on, even with PU.
However, it might be worth trying the gooseneck valve as there will be no hose stretch issue to be concerned about at all.  I have used and like both devices but my preference is now the twist valve.  But it is very much a personal preference thing in the end I believe.

Much better to use a univalve on a 47ft pole IME....the gooseneck valve was a lot more tricky to operate at high level....I didnt like it one bit

Much better than the first version however, it still has a flaw.
When working with it to your right, ( if there’s a car or obstruction in the way) it turns itself off.
I hate to say it but the univalve is still unrivalled
