I have also joined, mainly because it looks more professional and you can use the logo on your stationary. You dont really get anything for your money.

I understand that the Sickness part of the company has ceased trading and is in the process of winding up.

For those of you who are members of this scheme you will get a share of the profits on the final sale value.

But only if you have been paying into the acheme for more than 5 years, which pretty much excludes everyone except the board of trustees, most of whom are also on the board of the federation

The sale of the builing they own and the assest and whatever the fund value is when they finalise the accounts.

The percentage will be a division of how many members that are eligable

All you need to become a fedaration member is two refrences and your £85.oo and proof you have liability cover.I mispelt the other part its called Contractor Approved which means you go through safety checks and when you tender for certain jobs they know you are safety approved through your methods of work etc

Hi Easy
you should try reading those odd mags they send you they are still getting the sickness insurance but its now through allied insurance  could give you the number but as you paid for the mag look it up  issue 90 april 2006
things are changing  like the moan about the cards the new card are much better but things change quicker when you write to the fed rather than moaning elsewhere  if no one write in the what do you expect it was the fed that help let eveyone know about the changes h&s had in mind years ago but you have to read the odd mag mate

regards grant

ps built a great round on the back of the fed
