Hose repair
« on: July 26, 2020, 03:09:19 am »
Here you have a way of joining you hoses tubing without clamping screwing joints on to it.
No restrictions or chokes on the inner diameter. So the water flows freely.
This is a permanent  fix.

Really?

Could I ask, please scrub your hands before making the next video, they are enough to turn my stomach.

Thx for the tip, next time I need to save £1.50 mending a hose by using £4.99 on buying super glue I will be all over it like a rash

OK as a temporary fix. Wouldn't leave it permanently as it  will catch on things.
It's a game of three halves!

Super glue is not flexible if you tread on the pipe flattening it the glue will crack and it will start leaking it’s ok as a quick repair during the working day though

I always keep a spare, brand new hose reel (with hose on) in the van.

That way if any problems arise with the reel I'm using, I just switch to it straight away with no loss of working time.

If the problem is a connector, I'll replace it when I get home. (I do carry spare connectors, but I hate messing about fixing things in work time, so I just switch the hose reel)

If it's anything more serious than that (such as a leaking hose) it gets chucked.  Never would I spend my time messing about gluing things together.  Replace it.

Yes for a quick fix you could have a few of these push connections on hand.
Get them on Ebay cheap as chips.

Well, I would have never have guessed. So there's a solution already available on the market?

That's surprising as usually your ideas are revolutionary.

Could also use them on any other poles if you want.

Depends. There’s various options. To get me to the end of the day until a replacement was dispatched just a push fit connector i expect. Buy a replacement? Who cares. Its not exactly rocket science is it.

How to repair your hose.  Gardeners have been doing this for three generations.
