Gardiner water cut off
« on: July 24, 2020, 06:32:57 pm »
Another window cleaner showed me his pole yesterday (not like that!) which had a feature where you twist the pole and it shuts the water flow off. He said it was a Gardiner product.

Looked decent, anyone use one?

Also does anyone use a Gardiner wire wool attachment?

Cheers

I use Gardiner’s twist valve (gooseneck valve) and have to say it is fast becoming my favourite ‘tap’. I’ve even managed to make it work with a swivel adapter on the brush.  I used to use Univalves up until I recently got myself a new pole and added it to the order to try out. It is more refined than the Mk1 version and works much better. I liked it immediately I tried it.
Interestingly, my daughter who has recently started doing some work with me found it much easier to use than the Univalve as well and ordered one for herself. She is also using it with a swivel adapter.
I will say, it is a little quirky with the swivel adapter and it is easier to use with a fixed adapter. But if you are a swivel user it can be made to work.

Good to know you get on with the swivel and the gooseneck valve. The only downside is you can't fit the super scraper with the gooseneck valve well unless you have found a way or an alternative.

I’ve never needed one so it hasn’t been a problem for me.  I appreciate it might be for someone else of course.  Not that I don’t get bird muck to deal with, but it usually washes of or just takes a little patience with the right brush where I work.

Can this be used with the Exceed tubeless system?
Thanks
