If you’re double di only and not using a ro i would go bigger than 6ltr.  I use two 11ltrs.

I wait until tds going into tank goes to 5 then change it

Depends on what your RO is taking the tds down to, if low get an 11ltr, it will last a long time and will be a lot easier to handle, empty and fill than a 25ltr.

If you use double DI you are wasting resin if you use anything but 000. I change mine at 001.

Think about it. If the SECOND bottle is going up, the first bottle has long since had it. You will be throwing away spent resin either way, but once  you move the bottle 2 back to position 1, wouldn't it be better if it was at least doing some purifying?

The longer you leave it, the less effective double DI is.

I have a double di setup
Change both bottles at the same time. Always 000
