Getting  a van kitted out with raised reels what are the real benefits if any for putting rollers through back floor of van as not sure  to do this our not  what is your pref and a reason for this guys, hope everyone all OK as ain't been on for quite some time,

Hose guides through the floor cause to much friction when pulling hose off and reeling back in. Fixed hose reels all the way but don't bother with through the floor hose guides.  back doors can easily be closed and locked and hose tucked under van to prevent tripping on trailing hose.

Not sure if that picture comes out right, but i wouldn’t go back to not having them
Through the floor. Powered reels pull the hose back in no problem.

For me it just means more efficiency. I don’t fancy working with the back files open when I’ve got thousands of pounds worth of kit in the back, and if I wanted to close the back doors it would mean another walk back to the van.

Now I just grab the pole, grab the hose, lock the van and walk. It saves a lot of time if you add it up
Throughout the day.

I’ve got them, had them sorted at grippa tank, and guess what, I never use them 

Seriously, never actually use them, always just have the van door open.

Nice to have for the times I might be in a rougher area though...

Interesting you say about efficiency Jonny, my setup is similar to yours, and I find it quicker and easier to open the rear door, pull the pole out, grab the hose and walk off to the house .

I actually find it slower putting my hand under the van and getting to the hose. It’s also a lot more resistant when under the van/more faff catching on my tyres when at an acute angle.

Looks a bit of a ball ache reaching under the van all the time and you are consistently disconnecting and re connecting your pole as well

I leave my poles permanently connected during the day, the thin pole hose just gets trapped under the door when I close them.

The efficiency for me comes from not having to go back to close the van doors. If your happy leaving your doors wide open then that would also be the same efficiency, just not very secure.

All my vans have floor rollers and we don’t  have any issues pulling out the hose or winding it back in if the rollers are fitted properly you can pull out 100 meters using one thumb and one finger no issues at all , works a treat

Arghhh thought it would be a clear winner  thing is I have them so prob best fitting them and if need used use them our at least try them, has anyone noticed any big hassel trying to sell a van on with two holes on floor our would you just rubber bung them up afterwards

+1 for rollers
Stick that, walking back the van and shutting the door on the hose, time saved every job.
Leave pole hose connected all day, just once to connect up in the morning, or if swapping poles.
Never leave doors open with hundreds of pounds worth of knickable stuff in there
