Announcement due this week for self employed
« on: March 24, 2020, 11:12:45 am »
The problem I wondering about, is will all self employed people be entitled to money grants, or only those who don’t have partner who is employed.

I hope we are entitled no matter what.

I can just see them saying something like ‘only those who are single, living alone with no other income from partners are entitled’

I hope not!

Why should the employed get 80% wage regardless of their partners working, and we not.

I’m also feeling annoyed that some self employed as of now, have had to use their hard earned savings to cover bills etc. Why should we be using savings when the employed are being paid.

We’ve not needed to push back our mortgage, and we do have savings, but it’s unjust for us to have to use them when no other employed person is.

As long as it doesn’t have to be paid back I’d take it I don’t want anything I’ve got to pay back.

To be fair the MP's currently in the HoC are doing a sterling job of representing constituents who are self employed by putting pressure on the Treasury to come up with something.
