Just quoting a biggish commercial job this morning. full day 8 weekly.

i'm wondering if any of the bigger players would quote for a years service rather than a rolling clean by clean contract?

it feels like a more professional approach for servicing bigger companies.

We do work for several big commercial companies and the contract is  8 cleans per year and contract is renewed annually we have been found these jobs like this for over 15 years

does the contract automatically roll on year to year, or does it need to be confirmed in writing at the end of each 12 months?

No it has to be renewed each year , I have to submit a new quotes and the order numbers alter each year but my user I’d stays the same ,

I do a few commercials that are annual/bi-annual contracts. This is always led by the customer (accounts departments usually) tbh as if they are not happy with the quality of work then they’ll find reason to terminate the contract regardless.

If it’s something that you really wanted to add into the t&c’s of your quote that your price is based on x amount of cleans per annum.

All of my contracts are normally put in place by the supplier..They run April to March and then are repriced or roll on where a new contract and PO number are given to me.
If your trying to enforce a minimum term like a 1 year contract this can be very tricky and probably wouldn't hold any weight if you try to enforce it.Both you and the supplier could get out of it fairly easily.

Do you guys find these contracts are actually viable? I mean these big Commercials if manager
Sees her ladder man cleaning her house for ages
Then one day decides I don't want you anymore because wasn't happy for some reason I E windows being wet or a small bead or you're too fast do it by hand or shall get someone else

Don't get me wrong Its really good your getting them to sign such stuff have very few commercials one larger one we have agreement in place but nothing like that I'm quite intrigued is it strikt what if they cancel?

The contracts are legally binding for both parties, but it would never be worth persuing it in court if it went pair shaped  , I personally have never had any problems though .
