We were at a customers house last week, talking about this and that and he seemed to know a fair bit about pure water so I asked him what he does for a living.
He didn't say who he worked for but that he did work in water purification, on a much larger scale.
Systems that are capable of producing several hundred thousand litres of water per day and then he was talking about producing pure water as pure as parts per billion for computer chip cleaning.
They sell systems abroad but not in this country. We asked him if they did a system that would have a better waste rejection set up than our 1:1
He said that that was high and that most of their systems produced 3 cube for every cube of waste.
We mentioned that one supplier offered a zero waste water system and he seemed impressed that they could do that and we then tried to detemine how they had done this.
I understand that there must be some means of not divulging the intricasies of this system but it must surely boil down to a few more filters and then the waste water being looped back on itself.
I am coming up to the 2000 litre of pure water used per day and we are getting busier so waste water is becoming a real concern.
I do not want to spend 6000 on this off the shelf set up that will only produce 1000 litres per day.
The chap we were speaking to is getting me some info on his companys set up and their smaller systems but I wonder why no ohter suppliers are offering a zero waste set up.
Is there any self build anoraks that would have the answer to how to create the do it yourself no waste system.
Any suggestions
Rob
