Just putting this up in case anyone has had the same problem as I’ve finally worked out what it is that’s been causing the problem,I use microbore with hot and have found that unless all the 100meters is out off the reel when it gets to maximum temperature it’ll keep stopping the pump and giving you a pressure switch error.
When all the hose is on the reel and it gets up to optimum heat it constricts the first 15-20 meters on the reel to the point water can’t pass through at the flow rate I like,95 ish on my controller.
Just thought I’d share this as it’s one of those problems at first that doesn’t appear to be obvious,I spent days thinking it was cal settings or air in the system.

I must just add that this can be overcome with not pre heating water at a low flow rate on the way to the first job of the day,if you turn the heater on and then start work it allows the hose to heat up gradually rather than having the controller on 25 and passing a trickle through it then all of a sudden blasting 95-maximum pressure through it.
I know some people might say you need a bigger bore hose but minibore is a easier to handle over the course of the day over minibore imo.

The first few layers of hose are being flattened on the inner drum by the warm expanding hose above it restricting the flow I would imagine.

We had a similar issue with a poor batch of minibore hose that expanded a fair bit with cold water and this was this problem. We I replaced the hose from another supplier the problem went away.

We don't have hot water.

I cant say I've ever had this problem nigel.....I always pre heat my water on my way to my first job of the day too and flow is fine ......

Yeah when I first reeled most of it off I could see it was flattened almost completely,once I got all the hose off it then expanded with the hot water.
The waterworks reel I have is not a perfect circle for the first meter or so it’s square shaped,this I’ve found does encourage it to flatten over that part of the reel squashing it in about 8 places.

The pure freedom reelmaster is wider and bigger than the waterworks reel so this probably prevents this from happening plus I use the red PF microbore which I find excellent for hot water use.

The way to prevent this is take all the hose off the reel run the water through it then let the pressure build in the hose wind it back on the reel in it’s swollen state then you won’t have any problems .

I have just ordered two reels from them and they said they only do mini bore hose ?? So I will be fitting my own microbore  .

That's wrong......I had my red microbore hose supplied with the reel when I had it delivered.....

I've just checked pure freedoms website......they do indeed still sell the 6mm red braided hose that I use......£47-50 for 100m......
