Which Ford Transit Custom would be suitable for this size tank? short wheelbase low roof. I have a 2012 Ford Transit 330 short wheel base low roof with a 650 litre system but not sure if there is a Transit Custom equivalent to the 330?
It would need to be the Transit range above the Custom.
Just looking at the Trend, Ford still offers the van in 330 and 350 variants. In the old days we knew them as T330 and T350 but they appear to have dropped the "T".
Ford do so many model variants and all these differences affect payload. For example, an increase in roof height will reduce payload.
I am using a Peugeot Boxer 333 swb standard roof. Its OK for 2 operators with a 650l tank, but I wish I had gone for either a MWB or the LWB in the 3500 GVW catagory. Space is always at a premium with a swb van. Granted, the back doors will be just as 'crowded' with 2 of us packing away at the same time with either van, but having the extra length would mean I would be able to carry our gutter vac and prehaps fit a generator as well.
We are also finding in summer we consume more water than in winter so a 650 liter tank for 2 of us isn't quite big enough.
