Opinions on shared leaflet dropping 3 all together.
« on: May 10, 2019, 01:05:04 pm »
We all know about Royal Mail. But at £70 plus VAT per thousand there is a bit of pressure to get to 2-3 p / 1000.

A company that seems to have a good report has quoted £35 plus VAT per thousand dropping all together 3 items. I know the response won't be as good but you can actually afford to get 1 per thousand at that price.

Has anyone ever done this before on a large volume ? is it worth it or should one only focus on solo delivery.

generally solo delivery is much better and a 'flood' of leaflets to welcome you home.

we've only ever done solo drops and get a good response - we don't do thousands at a time - more targeted to villages we currently clean so 500 per day over 2 of 3 days - from this we get around 30 enquires give of take within a week and something like 15 to 20 over the following couple of months

Thank you. That is an amazing response must be because they're going solo but also because they're very rural perhaps.

Do you mind me asking but what company is that?

My leaflets went out with 4 or 5 others...always.  It didn't bother me, as I still got 4 custys per thousand and at £30 plus VAT, (delivery cost only), to areas of my choice, I couldn't complain. Also, the company that delivered them made sure they had the full 5 leaflets to deliver, so the date they were due to go out often changed. There was usually a hold up with another leaflet. Having said that, they were all delivered and I did ok out of it.

If you're not sure, try doing 5k and see how it goes. Unfortunately, with advertising, the only way to see what works best for YOU, in YOUR area is to 'test the water'.

Good luck.

this is the way to do it.......target little pockets of areas and deliver a few hundred at a time if you just want to compact your work and fill out some areas.....id also canvass the leafleted areas a few days later......
price higher/work harder!

Many direct debits obtained through canvassing it's been full on and we're very busy canvassing wise. Leaflet dropping will be a large volume more then I can handle on my way back from the gym  ;D
