Cancelled my ALLSTAR fuel card
« on: January 03, 2019, 06:14:33 pm »
Over the last month I noticed my fuel bill went up but I just put it down to using more fuel.  After looking at my latest invoice , I realised I had been charged MORE than the price at the forecourt, even though I was supposed to be getting a 5p per litre discount.
I rang them up to find out why , they said the petrol station I have always used had stopped giving ALLSTAR card users the discount a while back, and because of this , ALLSTAR then started charging an extra 1.5p per litre every time I filled up.
They didn’t bother letting me know the discount had stopped and didn’t let me know I was now being charged extra.
So cancelled the card , just letting you know so the people with an ALLSTAR card can keep an eye on their bills

A fuel card is easier when you have multiple vans though Daz.

I don’t have multiple vans but did fill my van & car up with it . That’s the whole reason I got it , so I could get a 5p off every litre

I have been through this scenario so many times in my business I have lost count.  It is not only Fuel Card Companies, everyone tries it on.  They all start well then the rot sets in!  It happens with Fuel Card Suppliers, Gas & Electricity, Hotel Discount Cards, Car & Van Insurance companies to name but a few.  We spent 2 months sorting out N Power to supply Gas last year, yesterday I happened to get one of my office staff to check on  the run out date which is 20th January.  We rang them and their response was “Oh Yeah” don’t worry about it we will stick you on out of contract rates and you just do another search to find the cheapest.  What the Fu** happened to Company loyalty?  The simple answer is they don’t give a monkeys!
