Hi all,

I've just got a contract, lots of communal stairways to clean and a nightclub twice a week.

Does anyone have any experience on backpack hoovers, think they would be better and safer than lugging Henry up dozens of flights of stairs !.

I have the one in the pic , got from amtech. I got I cause I thought it would look impressive on my back when doing curtains. But then I was reminded I hate doing curtains and it's in the shed since . Power wise it's about on the level of a Henry .it's good value for what it is I suppose ,if u have use for it .

It still has a cable that has to be plugged in somewhere so causing trip hazard , so why safer than a Henry

Safer for me as not holding on to a Henry hoover with one hand and hoovering with the other whilst on a flight of stairs.

Would be interested to hear how you get on we have had few Henry suicides over the years on communal stairs leading to cracked tubs, I have seen a few companies using cordless ones recently.

We've used a couple now, started with US made ProTeam Super Coach very good vacuums' but very heavy and had to import the bags for them.
Now using PacVac great little Vacuums light with great suction definitely my favourite ones although the bags seem a little quirky they do the job fantastically.
Both types we've used are corded but with signage out and running the cord up the centre instead of up the stairs helps negate the risk factor for General public also the time it takes to use a backpack compared to a pull-along is outstandingly fast so the cord is out for the shortest amount of time.
We've looked at the Battery backpacks from all types of manufacturers  but the problems we keep finding are how long the batteries last and how heavy they make the backpack so we've decided for the time being to use only corded backpack vacuums.
