My monthly water bill has just gone up to £77.
That’s business and our domestic use.
I have a sub meter for my RO.
350 litre tank filled now 5 days.
I know some guys claim a rebate on waste water.
Can someone explain it in laymans terms for me.
We rent so dont want to have to have a business account.

you need to let your water authority know that you have placed a second meter in the property and that all the water passing through this is for business use but more importantly the waste is not being returned to sewer - you are either storing it and using it for pressure washing or going into the garden ( although they not look kindly to that one ) you will then NOT be charged the return to sewer on all water passing through the second meter - they may want to inspect your set up but once in place you will only need to provide readings of both meters

my water charges were nearly 6K a couple of years ago as they hadn't implemented the use of the second meter - i got 50% of that returned and now we only pay for water in no sewage charges at all

its stored in several ibc tanks and pumped into the pressure washing vans

One of the local businesses also has a plant pot watering contract with the local council. He uses the waste for that.

yes it can go anywhere as long as its not back into the sewer 

as said you may be allowed to water the garden but i'm not certain they would be happy with that

I cant store the waste but working on a 50/50 pure/waste maybe I could claim 50 per cent of the waste charge from the meter readings.
I think they assume 90+% of water goes to waste.
