Property maintenance, is defined as keeping a property in a state of good repair/condition, so if cleaning the above helps to keep it in a state of good repair, then I would say yes. if it doesn't then the answer is no.
But saying that, it is not something I would advertise as part of my business.

Have to agree.......NO

Property Maintenance or Facility maintenance covers a lot more trades that just cleaning

Plumbing, electrical, gas, building, joinery, decorating, etc, etc.

If you can include all them in the service you provide, then you can probably sell yourself as a Property maintenance provider.  Otherwise you are a cleaner.

But... careful if it's insurance you are concerned about. If you're (eg) cleaning out a gutter and your ladder slips and falls on a baby sitting on the bonnet of a Bentley  :) - you think you're covered? Think again! :o

I've added property maintenance to my cover and it added £10 plus insurance premium tax making £104 for £1 million public liability this year.
It's a game of three halves!

good point

i have it covered aswell, as im a carpenter i get asked to do other work (i rarely do it, as my round is stacked up) but if i think its going to be a few rainy days, i take the odd job on

next time i sort out my insurance i need to add "classic vehicle restorer" aswell

One of the main reasons ive asked this is at the moment i trade under the name of Sparkle Cleaning services in this i cover Window cleaning which is my main trade i also do gutters, Upvc all the usual that most of you do but ive picked up alot of work over the past few weeks doing other stuff i.e ive been working on a house now for a week rubbing all the wooden windows down with wood acid/bleech and then i have to re-oil them all after.

Also ive done nearly 8 Builders cleans since xmas so was wondering to advertise as property maintence instead of cleaning services.

cheers

i do property maintenance work or pull in other help for jobs from painting to rendering, time is a big factor though as win clean is bust and work there all the time, but i do the other jobs because i like it, if you get a good porfolio you could bring in other people and get a cut of the job, talk to your customers to see who they recomende! us win cleaners do more than just clean windows, see you are probabbly some one they know so trust??  ;D
