CLEAN 18 SOLAR PANELS BIT OVER 4 MINUTES THIS POSSIABLE??
« on: April 23, 2018, 10:53:24 am »
This is the future of cleaning solar panels using doodlebug pads on a water fed pad holder.
This can also be adapted to large commercial windows as well.
The video is how long it took to clean these 18 Solar panels.

Each to their own but I think I will be staying with my current pole and brush set up.

There’s a difference between dragging a brush over them and cleaning them.

They probably had half a litre of water each to wash and rinse them. 4 minutes with 2 - 2.5 litres of water out of the brush per miniute.

Therefore they’re not clean.

I'd like to see a before and after to judge if it has in fact cleaned them to a satisfactory level.

I watched that video.
I found that I can count all of my teeth, just using my tongue.

We use a 45 cm brush and actually scrub the panels I would like to see him clean some of the farm panels that we do with that contraption they are brown with dust/ mud and bird poo  the panels he does in the video are clean to look at you could just spray water on them and walk away in seconds and have the same results that wippy  pole to is just a joke as is the swivel you need a ridged pole without a swivel and need to apply pressure to clean panels effectively, to me this is just another waist of time product that will not work it’s 30 inches wide how on earth will you apply the pressure needed to clean dirt off it we use hot water and still have to scrub with some pressure on dirty panels

I like tinkering with things and seeing in which ways I can improve them for my way of working, but im now starting to shudder when I see these posts  ::)roll ::)roll

Haha im sure there's ones that feel the same about my vids, but H man, your targeting the wrong audience as we have great suppliers in the UK of professional equipment and no longer need to resort to such diy tactics

So it would seem that some people don’t think this is any good.
Everyone can have opinion on things.
But you have to try it first to have opinion don’t you?
Know the next question will be where you buy them.
These are not going to be sold.
And if you like to try one for your self will be happy to give all the information on how we made this. (for the people that are that way inclined)
After using it see how it works.
Then you can give opinion of what you think of it.

Its not always the case that you have to experience it to have an opinion.
I know smoking is addictive and not good for you and so I choose to have an opinion on that without the need to try a cigarette.
I know heart attacks hurt and I dont fancy trying one to find out.
I know fibre glass poles are heavy n rickety and I dont wish to try one.

Like I said in my post, in the UK we have great suppliers of quality products and if doing solar panels residentially  then my current 14inch dual trimmed brush is more than suitable with 6 jets.
But thank you for sharing,
makes me feel better about the products i buy  ;D

Oh yes that  if it works for you why change.
All saying can not say too much till you try it.

Here quote that one of the members made think it was this forum or could of be the other UK forum (Can not recall name)
That when the Quick-Loq came out.
Everyone being sceptical  said that what they were using worked fine.
So it's about 4 years on it seems as though it was not as bad idea after all.

But there was nothing else on the market at the time similar to it.
What you have made isnt anything that would help the wfp market or solar panel cleaning market.
For yourself it might be great, I personally dont see nor understand the point of it and certainly not in the uk market.
Sorry but thats just my opinion

Thankyou for your honest opinion.
Know it is nothing like that on the market or similar.
All can say if you actually use this you will see and understand.
As said show everyone how to make the pad holder.
Few pounds to make. :)

It pains me that people still use these horrendous poles.

What is that glass fibre? It must weigh a tonne.

All these inventions and looking for an edge and still using a floppy old pole.

Yes it not as light as the new ones.
That one bought can't remember how long ago well before most people were using carbon fibre pole.
But the guy got from said it was carbon fibre.
Only later discovered it was not full carbon fibre and the bottom was actually glass fibre.
