Clx 27
« on: April 06, 2018, 06:54:45 am »
Anyone know what sections I could add to my 27clx  and what working height would end up with, need a bigger pole but can't justify buying a bigger pole that only gets used a few times a year,, thank you for your input,,, Kevin.

I use my clx 27 to use to open locked gates if I can’t reach the bolt with my hand. Any every time I pick it up , I wonder how the heck I use to clean with it! It feels quite heavy compared to my slx

Hi Callum,
That extension might be OK for now, very whippy, but any higher than that, then I would start saving the extra for an SLX  carbon fibre pole.
I found the clx great when I first started wfp, then I went to SLX and the extra rigidity made the job less tiring on the muscles. The pole is not as whippy, especially over connie roofs etc.
Also, the SLX range gives you more add on sections when you may require them. A very versatile pole. Great all-rounder.

I have an slx 22 with a clx extension taking it to 27ft.

It's pretty heavy and getting a bit whippy.

I have a hybrid 22 pole as well.

22 is about the limit for a hybrid pole imo.

30 -35ft for an slx

Much over that and you want to be looking at an extreme

Must be some tall gates mate if you need a 27ft pole to open them!

I personally think an SLX 25 is the perfect robust light every day pole but anything higher than 25 ft should be xtreme pole territory.....
price higher/work harder!
