I had a joker like this try it with some of my customer a few years ago.

I didn't lose any because I had a good working relationship with all my customers and I reassured them that if I was going to stop calling or sell up, I would let them know.

ive also had this before(a guy that used to work for me too!)many years ago....

i also had a chap knocking on doors collecting window cleaning/wheelie bin cleaning money......only a few customers fell for it...but i still got paid too.....

he wont last long resorting to underhand tactics.....its a sure way to failure......
