Sealant on glass canopy
« on: January 21, 2018, 03:03:57 pm »
Hi Guys,
I went around to quote a house yesterday with a glass canopy type thing,it's a new build and where they had the glass was alot of sealant all over the joints, what chemical is best for this as I don't want to scratch the glass.

If it were me I’d say get the builders back as I can’t remove it. Surely it’s just a scraper job isn’t it?

Could be but some of the sealant is at awkward angles.

fresh blade in your scraper(i use an unger ergotech ninja)and soap up well before hand.use it on a trad pole if you cant reach by hand.be extra careful, take your time and charge well for it.....the beauty of using the above scraper is you can angle the razor...it makes all the difference...
price higher/work harder!

Thanks everyone, looks like the scraper is coming out,I just thought maybe some sort of dissolver would be easier. ;)
