Did you work that one out yourself ?

paul have you been working with your temperature dial on full?

i think i may need to turn mine down a wee bit now! ;D

Never had to turn mine down.  Once the hose is out the temp from brush is luke warm to warm to hot (but not scalding to touch). Depending on outside temp.

you ve got a return to tank constantly flowing havent you mate with an additional controller when your working away?

ive been keeping the boiler running for 5  or 6 hours a day without it going into its  shutting down cycle.i think there is a short "stand by" mode on these heaters before shut down.(5 mins or so)which allows me to move hose/reel in etc and keeps the boiler running.

Glad your sorted. :)

How much diesel you reckon your using mate?

i need a full months working with the heater to give an accurate figure mate.when working with cold water i was putting in £40 a month in the van.i fully expect this to triple to £120 a month.still a lot less than some window cleaners with cold systems that have to travel a bit for their work.i bet some window cleaners put than in  their vans in a week!

Yes chap.  I use second controller to just trickle feed back to the tank.

It helps put temp back into the tank.

I might have a go at what you do in the new year as my way does not circulate through the hose when travelling.  ( I only do that when travelling to first job and frost mode).   The hose temp then drops and takes a while to warm it up again at the next job.    Sending hot water through a cold hose causes temp to drop faster.  Once material on hose is hot the water raises in temp (red hose).

ive been parked up for hours at a time most of this week paul with 4 days work on one estate.

on other work when i do a bit of driving i simply fit my return hose back to tank (that oliver made up for me)after reeling in and it keeps the water hot straight away for my next job.it literally takes 2 seconds.
