Looking a good waterproof coat. Any recommendations?

As title. I'm looking a good waterproof coat. Probably something better than regatta. What are you all wearing in these winter months?
Cheers

We have paramo coats not the cheapest but they are 100% water proof , you can wash them in the washing machine and reproof them at the same time they are a lot tougher than they look , thouroughly recomend them

Just buy anything that says on the label 'waterproof'.

If it don't say that, then it's not waterproof.

Simple.

A lot imply waterproof but aren't.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

True. It’s for work so why buy the best? We just use Tresspass with our logo. My big discovery this year is a waxed waterproof cap. The problem with hoods is that they don’t behave when you look up, so a hat is much better.

i have 2 for work.a north face jacket and a berghaus jacket.both goretex.not cheap but waterproof and you dont sweat as much as the cheaper gear like regatta/trespass etc.

on very wet days i swap them at lunchtime so i have a dry one for the afternoon.
price higher/work harder!

Obviously not working hard enough if you’re not sweating.

I just two old raincoats that I've had for like 10 years.

Ones a regatta and ones a berghaus I think. They both will soak through eventually in torrential rain but I don't work in that anyway. They do the job I don't see point in spending a fortune on a really good one.

Strauss work clothes. I use anything that's waterproof, windproof and breathable.

Buffalo systems special six shirt, when it's NOT in single digits I wear my beelay jacket also by buffalo systems.

I'm not sure how waterproof they are.

If I'm getting wetter than the windows I give up!

That’s the difference with the paramo I accept it’s not cheap but the hood is exelent you can mov3 your head up down left right with out any problems still see everything and the peak helps keep water out of your eyes

These 'coated' jackets like the Regatta just aren't breathable and you'll end up soaked with sweat before the rain gets through. After a while they all need reproofing, it's washing them that causes problems.  I try to keep one for gutter clearing (crapy fishing jacket)  and one for windows which is a Craghoppers under £100 but has its limitations.
I've got a Berghaus jacket but it seems to good for work!

Musto. They do a yachting range of jackets  which is (as you would guess) 100% waterproof.  But also looks really stylish and  professional,  if you are going to buy a quality jacket you might as well look good in it

To be honest though they are a bit pricey for workwear but  I have a TKMAXX outlet store next to the coffee shop I visit so pop in a couple of times a week they get musto gear in 3-4 times a years so grab a bargain when I can.

This is the waterproof jacket I got for £65
