I've been in this job a few years but every time I do a canvas I get the same feedback from potential new customer which is; "Are you going to come regular because our last one only came twice then we never saw him again"!!

i dont canvass anymore but when i did the most common was "no thank you we already have a window cleaner" OR "our last window cleaner only charged £4,i think £15 is too expensive"

I love it when they say they have one and their windows  are minging!!  Sometimes im cheeky and say, by looks of it you need a change of cleaner, its a good job ive come 😂😂

Also you have to learn how to translate customer comments correctly. 

When they say "my last window cleaner stopped coming after 2 clean" really means " i don't like paying my bills"

How many do you do a day?  often makes me smile. I say "about this much  today" and gesture a size with my hands, "tommorow its this much" and make them as wide a possible and then ask to use the loo.
