Hi mate, swapped the red van, his put the heater right by the side doors , so need them open , gas bottle in metal cage, also proper gas filling on the side of the van so can fill up at petrol stations, ionics system has been good, but two hard to fix and 2 and a half times the price

Sorry I'm not knocking you fair play to you but as far as a bargain goes you don't have 1.

Disagree, if your handy and can do it your self then yes you can save a fortune, if you can get it fitted on your drive 2 man set up with hot for less then well done, or the budget companies were more expensive

It's very very basic DIY you just need a tank that's secured properly
the rest is easy stuff, you've paid over £2000 fitting.

If you have no clue fair enough but as far as a bargain goes no,a bargain would be a 3 month old hot grippa 600ltr for that money fitted, that would be  considered a bargain.

I was taking the wee wee with my "bargain comment"

Like NWH says, its about 2 grand or more overpriced, its a very basic setup.

As I said same as the other budget ranges, but cheaper, look on cleaning wharehose , purfredom , etc, what I've learnt having ionics in the past same as your grippa, they charge a lot more yes better filters ect but the fact is as long as the water is deionised why spend double the money,

I've used those reels with hot water the washers inside the elbows won't last 5 minutes you'd be better off upgrading the reels you'll keep getting leaks.

Personally I think all these systems are a rip off.

in its very basic form all we are doing is purifying some water, transporting it in a tank and pumping it to a brush head and people spend 3-5k plus on these things.  Its ludicrous imo.

My entire system must have cost about 500 quid and does the same Job as anyone else's costing 10x as much

Those heaters are not even for WFP they are for a quick shower or washing a dirty dog down, used alday everyday they won't last long. The equipment in that van is in the hundreds not thousands,no where near thousands.

None of these heaters are for wfp, I've used a cheaper fasfar in my other van which lasted 3 years so time will tell

Maybe not but they are more robust the diesel heaters mine is still going 11 years later,I've had an L5 heater it fell to bits I just wish i could buy a diesel heater that heated the water to the same temperature as the gas ones. If you took the tank and tubing out the van and laid all the bits on the floor you would have little left of any value, people that still fit these rely on newbies to earn from it coz anyone doing this job any sensible length of time wouldn't pay that.

Not wanting to shoot you down so bluntly after reading my previous comment , i want to make it clear that i am Diy myself and use L5 also , had the same one for 7 years i think , ok you had it fitted for you , maybe you couldnt do it yourself , some cant .
But for £3200 you should have at the very least stacking reels similar to Purefreedom , not 2 clovers cobbled together with 10mm nuts and bolts , also boilers with flues and roof vents , my only other concern is the distance of left boiler to van seat , could be angle of photo not sure .

Nwh I've been doing it for 24 years wfp 8 years, as I've said can't do it myself, didn't want to pay more than £3000 ,as I've paid top money before, of course the fitter makes a lot of money, but that's what they charge, if you can find the same cheaper and someone to do it then share his details so we all know

P@f I do agree with the hosereels , should be better ones, I've got the gas filler on the side of van , but didn't want roof vents in new van, I will check on the seat though

at the end of the day if your happy with the system and the price you paid for it then it doesnt matter what other windys think jonny. :)

i paid around £1500 for my system( including £80 tank fitting),crash tested pure freedom cage,DI,pumpbox and heavy duty cox reel.(not including poles).

as for hot water i wont put a gas heater in my van ever again after a gas leak a few months ago and a loud bang and flash of fire. ::)roll

cold water system only from now on for me.
price higher/work harder!
