Enforcer
« on: July 04, 2017, 01:58:43 pm »
One of the vacs on my enforcer comes on a few seconds after the 1st.  The light comes on but no vac.

No fusrs blown or burning smell so think vac is ok.

Funny thing is it happened at same house last year.

Any advice before I pallet it up ?

Thanks.

It could be the vacs brushes worn so not making electrical contact anymore ....
Or it could be an electrical connection .
Perhaps u could try swapping the two wires on the working vac to the not working vac and swap the non working vacs wires to the working vac ...
and see what happens

Does the vac need the earth to run?  It's because I couldn't get the earth to reach the vac, just the 2 power leads.

no shouldnt matter for quick on/off test .
If u had a bit of spare wire u could connect it to the motors body anywhere and then connect  to any ground .

If its from ashbys they should have it painted on the motor , on the 'horn part '   SDP or HDP '  ie standard power or higher power .
I would just fit a higher power anyway but what ever your happy with .  Restormate have them at a good price .

I've got the enforcer 2 x  7.2 vacuum motors in one today just starts making a funny noise but is still working ok. I've just ordered a new vacuum motor today £250 for 1 . The 6.6 motors are only £99
