Decent 8mm hose and alternative fittings ?
« on: March 17, 2017, 06:51:10 am »
Hi , I normally use the Purefreedom hi viz 8mm hose , it's starting to bulge in places and I need to order another 100 m .... I was just gonna order a new one but wondered if anyone uses anything with a longer life span ? Isn't this 8mm blue hose meant to be good ? Additionally I am getting fed up of rectus 21 breaking and leaking anyone else recommend more durable fittings? Ps I am set on 8 mm not 6 mm :-)

Rectus 26 fittings or pro 26 from Gardiner are far more robust then the rectus 21. I would imagine pole hose will be all the same from any supplier all they do is get it from China no doubt.

A few cleaners have reported issues with that hose PF sell.

I would be inclined to look at another supplier such as Gardiners.

Someone said recently that this was good stuff in their experience:

I had my hose for over 3 years at least, I bought it from circuit hydralics, no bulging at all and still going strong.
If u buying cheap rectus fitting they won't last very long an there's lots about, I get mine from same place, tho I did put a few spares on my last gardiner order
