Advise on which machine to keep
« on: February 17, 2017, 06:54:53 pm »
Would appreciate your opinions on which machine to keep...
Currently got a steempro, 150psi, 2 nearly new vacs and heat and run.
Or
A CFR machine that's 500psi and amazing heater.
I'm only keeping one.
My worry is that I've a good idea with steempros what can go wrong and how to fix etc but with the CfR I've no idea. I really want the extra psi or should I stay with what's safe?
Appreciate opinions. Whichever I decide to keep, the other will be for sale soon ha

I'm in a similar boat..

I have an old prochem super extractor single 3phase vac and a 100psi pump

and an Excel Extracta.. 2 x 7.2 3 phase vac (ones better than the other), and a 100psi pump

The pump died on the excel today.. just wouldn't kick anything out but the motor was running, ended up being a blockage..

I can't really afford a new machine, but i can't afford for it to break down again..

So do i
a) Replace the pump and the rubbish vac on the excel (estimated £500)

B) Buy a newer machine but I can only afford second hand.. so maybe a steempro (900 ish), but maybe facing potential issues..

Well if I keep CFR I will be selling my Steempro.
Vacs almost new, pump is 150psi induction pump. Seal on lid and waste tap on back like new. Genuine excellent condition. Also got a spare prochem pump worth over £300. Hoses and twin jet wand. Better condition than most 2nd hand machines.
If your interested if I sell email me

I never fancied trying to rinse carpet with water already dirty from being used once.
Yes I know it is filtered but that is only a portion of it. The rest is soluble contaminants in solution ready to be reapplied.

Yuk.
God must love stupid people---He made so many.
