Charge extra. Tell them you can replace them with someone who pays/uses you monthly.  Charge 50% more. It's you that runs your business, not them.

When it does, i was thinking of charging a fraction more and then taking on new work monthly. Kinda a rotation of old work eventually going longer than 4wks and new work 4wkly. If that makes sense

What Tony says is absolutely right.

I offer both 4 and 8 weekly and accommodate even longer on request for larger stand alone properties.

I say "As that is a longer spread between cleans then obviously twice as much dirt and birds muck will bake on and harden over the longer period. So I will have to spend more time getting the windows up to the right standard each time and the price will have to go up by (25/33/40/50%) to reflect that."

The actual percentage depends upon how much I want to keep the custy but usually -let's say it was a £15 job then I'd go up to £20.

The two most recent ones went from £14 to £18 and a £30 to £40.

Just keep too much work so you're rarely on time with the monthly's  so they aren't expecting you on a regular day or date so it feels longer between intervals  Also becomes a challenge tryng to play catch up with work

I plan on going 8 weekly  eventually and only 8 weekly. Charging 50% more equals more profit. Just need a big marketting drive to get there.

Your mindset is all wrong. Cleaning clean windows benefits them too. Your service offers constantly clean windows (pretty much), that is how the system works best.

If they want to wait longer between visits, the windows will be dirtier and will take you longer to clean.

I think it works both ways you charge more for a 2 monthly clean but a regular monthly clean on a lot of house is a case of a quick go over and job done so you can fly through them.
I also think that the customer feels you are giving them honest advice on what to expect with their chosen cleaning schedule.

I just clean every 8 weeks and it works well for me. I would say go for it and up your price about a third. The windows will be slightly more dirty (although it depends on the property) and so it is fair and reasonable to ask for more money to cover the extra time. If you think the custy won't like it then bye bye custy, custy bye bye.

i know people want to save , everything goes up.       I like it when ustomers canell,  then half a year later they ask you to do them again.      If i dont like them  i say , sorry i have too many Regular customers here now.    or ill say ,  I can do them 2 monthly ill just give  a higher price.    Take it or leave it.         There is the odd one i would not take back on if they left  me.

I had one Asian the other day,      winters here   can i ancell them till spring.        OK i said being very proffesional.     Bas???d,
we would be on dole if everyone thought this way.        Winter to spring = no work.      This is not seaseonal.

Usually when customers start trying to save money its only a matter of time before they go to someone cheaper.
I had one cancel a few weeks back who had asked to go 8 weekly a year or so back, her excuse was she had decided to give this guy a go because he could clean them every 4 weeks. lol.

We've done this for years now; charge more, but at a longer cleaning frequency.  Use the longer cleaning frequency as a selling point.

This means a 50% pay cut you do realise that I hope. You need to pull your socks up and be firm, they pay more, or you say no and go out knocking.
