Cant beat free electricity though.
Still toying with idea of setting up a solar panal in garden to trickle charge a 12v battery in shed and run ny booster pump on RO from it instead. Do my part for environment and long term save on electric bill... ;D

some people really do like to make things more complicated than they need to be.that botch up job of solar panels on your van roof isnt for me!(sorry mate! ;D)l just run a extension cable  to my van every night to my pumpbox battery to trickle charge it overnight as part of my "end of day" jobs.takes 2 mins. :)
price higher/work harder!

Each to their own i suppose.
Thankfully my van is my work horse and unless your looking from a 1st floor window down at it, its not visible for everyone to see. Or it would be a whole lot tidier.  ;D
The point for me tho, its free! Its ok trickle charging bateries most nights and the price per kw is cheaper mostly from midnight etc but solar power free.
Its the yorkshireman in me ;D
