I bet by Feb 2017 he's nowhere to be seen.

Then his old customers will ask you for a quote and think you're ripping them off. ;D

Many old school trad guys that have been around for donkey years with compact rounds tend to be very cheap too.

Yeah, we've not had a proper winter in a while. Cold weather is a pain in the bum but it weeds out the modded.

No  i  don't i keep putting my price's up.keep picking work   up  this week alone £36 (two houses one with a small conservatory). In the last 12 months sold 2 full days work picked up 2 full days and earning more than i was last year . I would agree with a lot of the comments already said be polite, honest and just do a good job  the customer will stay with you and the work will roll in.

I couldn't give a monkeys about low prices.
I charge a fairly high price and i'm proud of it. I do a bl00dy good job and for that I charge a small premium. I'm regular, reliable and I text or call all my custys the day before. I do a good job and I am respectful of customers' properties.
Waitrose and Marks are expensive, porsche and ferrari are expensive, quality designer suits and shoes are expensive.
Are they going out of business? No because people buy them.
Don't worry about low prices, do a good job and start putting your prices up.
I think one of the best catch phrases i've ever heard was the Stella Artois ad that said 'Reassuringly Expensive'. That's me.

"Thank you for calling: if you have a 1st floor flat, mid terraced house, lots of dogs, no parking, no side access, or no sense of humour, please press hold!
For all other enquiries, please press1"
