di in or out of the van

hi should i have the di vessel in the van to purify the water from the tank or should i have it in the garage and have pure water in the vans tank? does it make any difference to the amount of desin i will use?\

I prefer it in the van, there's no negatives other than the resin bottle taking up some van space, for me it removes the risk of high tds water getting into the resin and I can bypass the resin altogether on jobs where I don't need zero ppm.

Its around 20ppm.
