Probably not if you thinking long term regular use......... they're not really designed to be used constantly,  I've had 2 and they both broke after a short while,

Something more heavy duty would probably give you better results.......

That's what the duo was actually designed for, most use it to agitate pre-sprays but it's primary porpose was to brush in Sebo carpet cleaning granules.


Still a piece of under powered crap though

I only use a Duo for the small. tight little areas such as hallways and landings, but even with such light use they only last about 1 to 2 years. I think that they are made for DIY use.

I use a duo for most stuff, I find it harsh enough to pull out quite a bit of fluff and distort the pile if you are not carefull. I have never used a TM4 or the other larger machines but I don't see how you can get away with using one on most wool carpets without causing damage?

For anything which needs really aggressive agitation I use a rotary with a brush or a zebra pad.

I have the host CRB machine it came with five sets of brushes, gold is really soft and wool  carpet, gold and white for mixs and  white  for polys others for hard floors .

Once I have sprayed the carpets with  prespray and gone over it with the Host CRB the carpets look like it has  been cleaned with an  full extraction process. most of the time after the extraction process the carpet look very little different than after using the host .

I have a pro 35 crb but the Host seems to be far better at cleaning carpets than the pro 35 . It easier to clean as well and a little bit lighter and more manageable and takes up less room in the van it's a really must have item.

for me the sebo brushes are a little too harsh for a good wool carpet and difficult to clean , it  is good for pre spray but  doesn't clean or restore  to the ability of the Host or pro35.
