Cleaned the wrong house!
« on: July 02, 2016, 09:13:18 am »
Not once but twice!
Walk up  over a month ago. Cleaned his windows, then he asked us to clean his son's house just down the road and he would pay for both every month. Paid straight away last month and this month.
Updating the worksheet from the quotes and enquiries list,  noticed we cleaned No. 79 and the request was for us to clean No.77 :o
Can't believe no one noticed either the son or his father for two months.
Lucky No. 79 got their minging haven't been cleaned for years windows sparkling and the following month another free clean with a slip through the door "Windows cleaned today. Paid for. Thanks"

I made a mistake similar to that a couple of years back that cost me £35. Chap said his mate above him wanted his windows and PVC frames cleaning. Was a really bad job hence the quote for £35. I didn't clarify which floor he was talking about. Yes his mate lived above but two floors up.  :'( :'(

When I was on ladders I covered a few houses for a friend who was in hospital. Did the wrong house. Householder didn't come to the door.

Completed the front and noticed a naturist magazine on the window sill of the front bedroom. Laddered over the gate to be confronted by the householder - he was tackle out and buck naked except for a panama hat!
It's a game of three halves!

Done that last week too.

Well annoying. Why is it always the filthy houses that we clean by mistake?

In my first year we cleaned the wrong house twice.

Oh, we do a whole load of factory units too and I keep on cleaning the one we haven't got.  I've done that at least twice.

Been cleaning a flat for about 2 years, guy pays me quarterly. Cleaning as usual this year, putting slips through his front door. Not been paid since February so I decide to text him  and ask for payment. He texts back and tells me he moved out at Christmas! The new tenant must have been loving the free cleans.

Been caught myself like that too. Anyone wants to pay like that now I ask for it up front. I then text them the new balance with each clean. When the balance is zero there are no more cleans till the next amount has gone in. Got one who does this yearly, another 6 monthly, and one 3 monthly
