when you have as many options as we do to get to the end result of a clean carpet. lots of methods that are far more productive, you have portables that are 7 times more productive than standard portables, rotary that will not only be more productive but less effort for user.

TMs are designed to work at distance all that power and heat is so you can pump hot water to wand without in getting cold and then return the waste back to the machine.

Productivity equals profit. then you have running costs per hour TMs much higher than other methods. you can pass these cost on to your customer or make charge the same and make more profit.

I would have a look at a mix of methods

Good luck

Make friends with a truckmount owner and offer to share the job with him.

How much is the job worth? I could give you a hand if it's worth money wise.

Am not  adverse to letting you hire one of my t/ms' - however, are you conversant with operating a t/m?
The other consideration is that you would have to arrange motor insurance to cover driving - if not you would have to cover the cost of one of my operatives to  deliver - be on site for the full period. Would this be cost effective??  Might be cheaper to sub the job out if a t/m is the required option

Adam Sub it out - as Professor Elliot implies - you have to know what you are doing to work a truckmount........... psi to clean, rinse agents acidic/detergent. Gallons per hour mix, wand stoke speed to name just a few variables. Also if its carpet tiles the power of a truckmount pulls a lot of crud up from the bottom and you may get wickback. So if you forget a rotary you're stuffed. It's not difficult but you need to have a bit of  time to get to know a new system and time runs away on a job!
Speak to all the guys here and see what they can do..... they are all fine upstanding people and will respect you and the job - then you can supervise from a deckchair or learn - easy peasy
Starts at the bottom likes it and stays there
