Hi All

I am looking for another call service provider, I'm wanting 0800 and local prefix that divert direct to my mobile.

After looking online a company called "callready" seem reasonably priced, does anyone have any long term experience with this company or a recommendation for another provider?

Can I also ask those using 0800 or local prefix numbers diverted to your mobile - how long from hitting the last digit of your number to your mobile ringing? I get as long as 11 seconds which I'm sure is down to my virtual BT line. Ridiculous.  ::)roll

All advice very much appreciated.

Thanks Paul

FINALLY A WORD OF WARNING:
I have been using BT Business. 2 years ago I moved property and wanted to take my existing local number with me and a virtual line that uses my broadband was the only way to port the number and BT Business were the only company at that time that could offer this.
I'm just coming out of a 2 year contract that has been a nightmare from start to finish. Had I known then what I know now, I would have ditched the number and spent the money on marketing a new number. I STRONGLY advise against using BT Business, anything and everything that could go wrong did go wrong and the customer service is non existent.

http://www.smart-numbers.net/

also ask about 300 call plan divert to mobile its the cheapest way I have found apart from  buying a Burnside and putting a SIM card in it and pluging that into your bt socket. it will divert all calls to your mobile without using bt line, mobile to mobile is free

also ask about the 50  number deal if you plan on having a few

regarding you old BT number talk to these guys as they can get that number for you as long as no one is using it, it costs extra but if you have been in business a long time then the cost s worth it

0800 numbers we used

and was about £5 month

if you want an answering service speak to any chem dry guy as they use a company that I can remember the name of. they where very good and charged by the call. also linked/synced to online dairy for you. FT guys should also know this company

I don't use my free phone numbers, well I have them but the stats say I get very few calls I'm aggrieved to let them go just incase...
I don't think people like them anymore

people dont need to use them as they use mobile now and on most deal the call will come within deal. in fact these type of number have now become cash cows for companies, and most seniors like me cant tell which ones are premium rate and the other normal ones local and free.

having said that this proves  that have a mobile version of your site is important. and whats great about this is if your like me and use wordpress you can have an auto dial button plugin which in turn removes the need for any local prefix numbers. you still need old style for desktop searches.

auto redirect can be a real pain as it can be done in a few ways. so its important to know when to use it and not. if you want page level or site level redirect. its a personal choice. we have a mix of site and page depending if its adwords or a SEO site.
