Mini bowser or normal pressure washer?
« on: March 28, 2016, 10:32:13 am »
What would you guys recommend for general domestic pressure washing?

I have the opportunity to get a 250 mini bowser pressure washer but not sure if I would be better buying a normal one.

The bowser could be handy if no outside tap but
I'm worried the bowser one is a bit bulky to fit through gates and stuff

What would you lot choose?

When you say 250 you mean the bowser is 250 litres ? If so I wouldn't bother you'd be better off converting a wheelie bin, takes up less room , just takes time to fill up which your going have to do with the bowser anyway

The pressure washer is more important anything delivering under 18 lpm at 250 bar is not going to give you the best results or will keep you at the job a lot longer than a more powerful machine

Never argue with an idiot, they will only bring you down to their level, and beat you with experience

Cheers Darran yes 250l

That's what I was thinking really it looks a bit bulky.

I will be going for a slightly less power full machine than that to start with somewhere around 12-15 lpm as at the moment am just picking up the odd job from my window cleaning customers and want something I can keep on the van as a back up for my car valeting. Hopefilly as the business grows I can get a bigger machine but funds simply don't allow at the minute. If I pick up any big jobs I could always hire one but all I'm getting at the minute are small drives/decking.

Thanks

Honda gx340 with reduction gearbox 201 15 lpm interpump is a good little washer for domestic work.
I have one and does what I need it to do. I also have two other washers but most of the time out of preference I use that one.

Well i committed  a sin. Went against all advice ive read on this forum and bought a £200 chinese 6.5hp pressure washer 3000 psi @ 11.5 lpm

Did a job today, and although it was a bit slow on the decking it turned out well, made my money back in one job so good result.

Will be fine for the amount and size of pw jobs i do

will see how long the thing lasts, better get myself some YEEHA to help speed things along in future

Nice one, let us know how long it lasts as if your lucky and don't use it much it might last a while.
Still I would not want to tackle a big block paving job with one of those in fear of it packing up on me.
